So how did you like Africa? My parent just got back from living there for 4 years. They really loved the people and the culture.
Please post details about how we can help out. Many of us would offer items or time or money if we knew how to best do so.
Keep up the good work.

Hi Ashwin,
It sounds like you are both having a good time and doing good work. Are you going to introduce the "bone punch" to Houston? I look forward to seeing some of the new tricks you have picked up. Keep on writing.
Best,
Dan

Ashwin,
This is phenomenal. Great pictures and your writing style provides exciting suspense... Congratulations. My only suggestion is to add a simple map of the country at the beginning of your write-ups showing the location of the main cities of interest. Good luck and keep up the good work. Ray

Dear Ashwin,
As always, your journal and more importantly, your adventurous spirit and work is simply amazing. You have written in your journal that you have had the privilege of practising medicine on all four continents. That is a privilege you really deserve!
Take good care of yourself and we'll keep reading your wonderful blog.......
warm regards Vishu, Prema, Aditya and Siddharth

Ashwin, I've been thinking about this website all weekend long... wondering how much does one operation cost??? Over the last two years I've sold Carnival tickets, girl scout cookies, etc... raising monies for my grand daughter's school in the amount I'm thinking equal to the cost of one surgery. I would like to help. Please email me when you have time.

Hi, Ashwin,
Your journal is very enlightening and I can see that you are doing great work in Ethiopia. It also gives one perspective reading about the concrete needs there, as opposed to our virtual life here. Thanks for sharing your trip and work. Blessings, Sharon

Hi Aswin,
Leslie told me about what you're up to about a week ago and asked if I'd sign your guestbook. I'm really glad she did because your missed here in Houston. I want you to know that you will be in my daily thoughts and prayers while you're away on assignment and I invite you to email me anytime you want to have a digital conversation with someone who shares your commitment to a great life. Keep the faith and stay focused on your priorities and all will be fine. Love you a lot Pal and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
Tom Fritsch

Ashwin: Reading your Adis Journal was truly inspiring to say the very least. 3 thoughts immediately crossed my mind: "pride" for all those for whom you are and were close, very close; that even in major city hospitals in India, blood has to be given by near relatives (I can remember 4 personal occassions); and the desire to share with you what some of us here (India; Philips) are trying hard to do to bring a small sustainable change to similar conditions. I am so proud today. I am thinking of Jo. Lots of love, and looking forward even more to seeing you and hugging you. Kris
